Privacy Policy
A simple, plain-English privacy policy.
Your calculator inputs
The figures you type into our calculators are processed in your browser to show your results. We do not require your name, Tax File Number or bank details to use a calculator, and you should never enter them.
If you contact us or subscribe
If you choose to email us, request a report, or join an update list, we collect only what you provide (such as your email address) to respond or send what you asked for. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics: what actually runs
This site uses two Vercel products: Web Analytics and Speed Insights. Both are cookieless. They record the page address, the referring address, the country, and coarse device and browser type, plus page-load and Core Web Vitals timings. Vercel derives a temporary, daily-rotating hash to count unique visits; it is not stored as an identifier and cannot be reversed to identify you. No cookie is set, no cross-site profile is built, and no data is sold or used for advertising. Nothing you type into a calculator is sent to analytics.
There are no advertising tags, no affiliate scripts, no social pixels and no third-party trackers on this site.
What we collect and why (Australian Privacy Principle 1.4)
- Calculator inputs: processed in your browser only. Never transmitted to us, never stored.
- Contact form: your name, email address and message, used solely to reply to you. Delivered to us by email through our email provider and retained only while the matter is open.
- Analytics: the aggregate, cookieless page and performance data described above, used to decide which pages to improve.
- Server logs: our host, Vercel, records standard request data including IP address for security and abuse prevention, under its own retention policy.
We do not collect sensitive information as defined in the Privacy Act 1988, and we do not disclose personal information overseas other than through the hosting and email providers named above.
Data security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect any information you provide and keep it only as long as needed for the purpose you gave it.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask what information we hold about you and request its correction or deletion through the contact page. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with how we handle a privacy matter, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
This policy is written for an informational calculator that collects no account data. It is maintained in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988. If our data handling changes, this page and its updated date change with it. Questions or a request about your data: use the contact page.
