What is the Super Guarantee?
The Super Guarantee (SG) is the minimum your employer must contribute to your super fund. It reached its legislated 12% on 1 July 2025. Super is generally paid on ordinary time earnings, not always on overtime.
Salary including super explained
If an offer is "including super", divide by 1.12 to find the cash salary. A $90,000 package including super is about $80,357 cash plus $9,643 super. See salary including super explained.
If your employer is not paying super
Check your fund's transactions first. If super is missing, read what to do if your employer is not paying super - unpaid super can be reported to the ATO.
