Short answer

Casual employees usually receive a 25% loading instead of paid leave, so a $28 base rate becomes $35 an hour and the $26.44 national minimum wage becomes about $33.05. Your take-home pay then depends on PAYG tax above $18,200, the 2% Medicare levy and any HELP/STSL repayment.
